Industrial Design

Of the three, this one stays closest to the hand. The place where the imagination of happiness, the feeling of the senses, and the delight in things themselves all live. Form, mechanism, and material were the first language I learned to design in. A bath cart for an unsteady body. A fighter-jet line carried into a track motorcycle. A jewelry set carved in wax for a thousand-year love story. Still the room where I remember design begins in practice.
